A Bear Co. offers shoes for boys and girls, babes and adults! It is run by a mother and daughter in law duo, Despite the negative stigma that exists between this sort of relationship, Linda and Nikki teamed up and created a shoe company powerhouse! "It’s just made our relationship blossom in itself! It’s just so fun to love what you do and who you do it with!", says Nikki.

In October 2019, Nikki called Linda and said, "let’s do the damn thing"! After countless ideas and late night chats, their vision was starting to become a reality. A few months later, A Bear Co. opened on January 1st, 2020.

This issue of Spotlight is dedicated to celebrating A Bear Co.’s one-year anniversary!

Linda and Nikki are the creators behind everything you see! Despite the craziness that 2020 has been, they describe this year as “a funny and crazy ride”, as business has been amazing! Meeting and building relationships with their customers and suppliers has been one of their most humbling experiences. "We pride ourselves on customer service! No matter how big or small ABC gets, we want our customers to know that Linda and I will always be involved and have relationships with them!" Having people that love and trust them is simply amazing, and they cannot wait to see what 2021 will bring!

INTERVIEW What is your favorite food? Chicken and dumplings Least favorite? Broccoli

What is something you love and others hate or something you hate that everyone else seems to love? I love being bright and bold and attention. I’m usually the entertainment of the party!

If you woke up and a million dollars was deposited into your account tomorrow morning, and the bank said to keep it. What would you do? Pay off my husband’s student loans... let’s not talk about the number. I would also donate to Alzheimer’s research; my grandmother was diagnosed this year.

What would be your 3 wishes if a genie could grant

you anything?

1. To see my grandfather again

2. Take all cancers away forever/find a cure for all cancers 3. More hours in a day!

What is your favorite thing about running your shop?

The creativity behind our designs and of course making amazing friends and relationships with customers! I’ve met soooo many people, that don’t even know the positivity they have shed into my life!

Least favorite? The computer work behind it! Lol. I’m a hands on person... I’m not an office person for sure! I did hair for 10 years before opening a shop, I love the interaction with people!
