Rizz Denim is a hand-distressed shop that takes existing items and hand alters them turning each item into a one-of-a-kind, unique and fashionable piece. Due to the nature of this craft, the shop works on a pre-order basis, allowing customers to choose exactly what they want. Occasionally offering pieces like bleached flannel, they specialize in distressed denim for boys and girls along with distressed leggings with the option to add on the acid-washed look. They will also be adding jeweled leggings to their shop selection very soon. Drops happen every two weeks to allow each piece the attention and time it requires.
Owner, Cara Eckles, opened her shop two years ago inspired by her love of distressing denim. She has been distressing her own denim for years so she simply, in her own words, “decided to make a hustle out of it.” She now gets to see her own babes as well as her customers and reps rocking her hand- distressed denim! In the development and growth of her shop, she hopes to provide quality denim to her customers while also offering a friendly shop environment with positivity and great customer service.
The shop is named after Cara’s daughter, Charisma, whose nickname is “Rizz.” Of course, Charisma is the name and inspiration behind the shop along with her other children. Cara refuses to put her daughter’s name on anything other than the very best. As such Cara puts as much time and effort into each individual piece as needed in order for all items to reach perfection. She will not sell anything that she wouldn’t pay for herself or be willing to put on her own children. She strives to only use the best denim brands when fulfilling her orders. Cara gets especially excited to work with vintage denim – another love of hers.
As we all know, the friendships that come from being a part of the small shop world are really what keeps us with our shops and honestly keeps us sane as moms. Rizz Denim is another shop whose rep team is much like a family. Plus, what shop owner doesn’t love seeing the babes of the small shop world rocking their handmade pieces! But of course, the most important source of joy for her is her family and her children, but she also adores supporting other small shops with her shopping habits.

2. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Black
3. You find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do? Jump for joy then probably faint!
4.What do you think about when you’re alone in your car? My mind races all the time about everything but mostly what new products I can bring to my shop!
5. What’s your favorite ’90s jam? Mariah Carey, Always be my baby!
6. If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? Cheetah because they are a force to be reckoned with!
7. What was the last gift you gave someone? A SnapBack hat to my lovely hubs!
8. What were you like in high school? Very shy and laid back!
9. What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it? I’m a true crime junkie!
10. Any advice for your previous boss? Nope
11. Tell me something about your last job, other than money, that would have inspired you to keep working there. I have a full-time job at Anthem Blue Cross as well as my small shop. I’m inspired to keep working there because we want to buy a house, and I need to save all the money I can until we are ready and the insurance is insanely cheap!
12. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? Nothing, my life is boring 13. What is your dream job? Full-time business owner!
14. What inspires you? Life, my kids, my family & friends!
15. What’s your food/drink guilty pleasure? Starbucks Cold brew & pizza!

17. What do you work toward in your free time? I have no free time in my life currently, it’s all work, work, work, and kids!
18. What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn without asking this question? I am very loyal to the ones I love and cherish!
19. How would you rate your memory? Not too well maybe a 6 on scale of 1-10, mom brain lol
20. If you woke up and had 2,000 unread emails and could only answer 300 of them, how would you choose which ones to answer? The ones of most importance!
21. What pizza topping best represents you? Cheese, the cheesier the better!
22. Describe the color orange to somebody who is blind. Bright & vibrant
23. If you were to get rid of one state in the U.S., which would it be and why? Alaska because it’s dark half the year and that’s no way to live - in the darkness!
24. What is your favorite tv show to watch when you’re alone with the remote? My favorite show right now is the Ozarks
25. Are you now who you thought you would be ten years ago? Not at all. I never thought I'd have kids or a small business!
