“I like to come up with new and unique concepts - - I definitely love the ability to create and then see my creations being shown off by little babes!” -Marifer Salinas, Owner
Mini Texas Threads is a thriving new small shop. She has only been open for several short months but has the quality you would expect from a seasoned seamstress. She offers bi-weekly drops of trendy, handmade clothing with a turnaround time of twenty business days.
Although the shop is relatively young, the owner, Marifer, has big dreams for the future. Her goal is to offer her own unique designs and patterns while creating new and innovative items. As design is part of Marifer's DNA, it's no surprise that she wants to make something completely her own. Her Great Grandmother was a designer and her Grandmother was very passionate about sewing. These two talented women instilled the passion to create in a young Marifer. As an adult, becoming a mother herself reignited the inspiration to create. She began designing for her daughter and soon expanded to designing for others and shortly after, opened her own shop.
Picking a name for her shop was a challenge since she wanted to include her daughter's name without leaving her son out completely. After much thought, she chose something totally different than her original idea. She chose a name inspired by their home. Her family inspired her to create which led to the opening of her shop, so it made sense to name her shop something inspired by their home.
Sewing, bringing her creations to life, and time with her family keep Marifer's heart full. She is able to find joy in her daily life as she supports her passions and her family at the same time! Marifer also loves that her shop gives her the freedom to create her designs and then see those creations being shown off by little fashion babes! Although her favorite items to make are anything with a halter-style top, she especially enjoys coming up with new and unique concepts – pushing the boundaries with styles unique to her shop. She recently held a "Boo-Jee" Halloween drop that was different from other drops she hosted previously. She enjoyed how unique it was and is looking forward to exploring that route more in the future. Join her VIP group to ensure you don't miss out on her next fabulous idea!
