“I love seeing customer photos! I love seeing all the smiling faces!” -Ashlee Kidd, Owner
You see bows, handmade clothing, distressed denim, boutique items, and bubblegums everywhere in the small shop world. But how often do you see handmade stuffies? In my opinion, these unique shops are so very worth the price and the wait. They create pieces that can be handed down and truly become family heirlooms. There is no outgrowing your favorite stuffie!
Bugaboo Stuffies is a brand-new shop with a tiny following and so much to offer. Everything you see from this shop is handmade, custom, made-to-order, and one-of-a-kind for your babe! Can it get any better than that?! Although she has expanded to offer more than just the heirloom stuffies, I believe those adorable stuffies are the most unique and special item she offers. These stuffies are truly special because they are made from your child's (or children’s!) outgrown clothes, blankets or even a passed loved one's shirt or garment. Stuffies create such a special way to remember the most important people in your life.
Owner, Ashlee, opened the shop when she realized how sentimentally attached to her daughter's clothes she had become. She didn't know what to do with the pieces but didn't want to give them away, throw them away, or just let them sit an collect dust. This is when the inspiration for her one-of-a-kind stuffies came to life; when she thought of turning each important item of clothing of her daughter’s into life-long loveable friends. The shop is even named after her daughter whose nickname is Bugaboo!
Ashlee loves making people happy with her stuffies. She is offering a perfect solution for all the small shop moms who just can't bring themselves to let go of those special outfits. Thanks to Bugaboo stuffies, there is no need to let go! Just turn them into lifelong stuffie friends! Ashlee loves seeing her customers’ photos and the smiling faces that were brightened by her creations.
Since first opening her shop, Ashlee has expanded to also offer stuffies made from custom fabric rather than keepsake clothing or blankets. She has also widened the variety of creatures she can create - now offering anything from a teddy bear to a bat, a unicorn, or even a dinosaur! Although she offers many different styles of stuffies now, she still enjoys making crab stuffies most of all which were one of the first few styles she offered.
At Bugaboo Stuffies you can place orders for custom fabric stuffies during her drop OR work directly with Ashlee to send in keepsake clothing or blankets for a custom, one-of-a-kind, lovable friend. She offers regular drops and holiday-themed creatures as well as the keepsake items that she’s offered from the start of her journey. The turnaround time is short and the quality of her items is unbeatable.
