“I started this company to share my passion of crystals with those that are seeking to bring healing joy into their lives... If I can help people, that’s all I’ve ever wanted
in life. To make a difference.” -Brianna Chekal, Owner
Ginger & Sage is a young shop with big, big plans.
Owner, Brianna, a mom of three wonderful and
beautiful children, married to her high school
sweetheart who is currently serving in the Navy. Shes
opened the shop in 2021 to create a place where
healing begins, and magic never ends. She wants
those who have struggled, like she has, to feel loved
and in control again and those who have not
struggled never have to experience it. She has a
personal love for the healing properties of crystals
and desire help others heal with them, so she started
her small business journey to share her passion of
crystals with those that are seeking to bring healing joy into their lives. She has always had a longing to make a difference, to help others and she believes providing knowledge and access to crystals can aid in achieving that life-long desire.
Ginger & Sage offers ethically sourced crystals and metaphysical supplies personally selected by Brianna. The product list includes crystals, candles, incense, jewelry, tarot cards and more which are released semi-monthly with the occasional surprise drop. Brianna's personal experiences with healing and finding her path is the biggest inspiration to continue on this journey of offering that same healing experience to others. She absolutely loves receiving messages from customers about the crystals she provides and how they've helped with something they were struggling with, or hearing how a child of a customer no longer has bad dreams because they sleep with their crystals at night. Brianna is fueled and empowered knowing that she can make a positive difference in someone's life by sharing her own passion and experience.
Ginger is believed to bring luck, money, love and passion into your life and Sage is said to help with healing, peace and wisdom. For Brianna those attributes are a big part of what she wants to see in her business, so it just clicked when she was mulling over what to name her business in the early days. As she thought through the goals, she had in opening her shop it seemed the name Ginger & Sage was meant to be.
Although most of the items available at Ginger & Sage are not handmade by Brianna, she enjoys the orders that do require her to utilize her creative abilities. She loves making custom crystal bracelet sets with crystal beads selected for the customer’s specific needs. With these bracelets, she carefully curates the perfect combination of crystal beads according to the desires and needs expressed to her by the customer. It is a very personal process that is thoroughly rewarding.

1. Are you more of a hunter or a gatherer? I feel like I’m both. I’m a gatherer but can be a hunter if needed without a second thought. 2. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Sparkly pink, pink in general is just a girly beautiful color but I’m more than that, I’m extra and need the sparkle!
3. You find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do? First would pay off all debt and set up college funds for my 3 kids. I would buy my dad a house, he’s never been a homeowner but he’s the hardest worker I’ve ever met and he deserves the world. I’d donate some, open a store front I’m sure but I would take some time off and travel to other countries to volunteer and give back, that’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was a child and my hope is to one day be able to.
4.What do you think about when you’re alone in your car? I don’t. I blast music and have a whole concert for myself!
5. What’s your favorite ’90s jam? This is a hard question, music is in my very core I don’t have a favorite but if I had to pick, 90s country is a whole vibe!
6. If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? Dolphin! I’d love to live in the ocean!
7. What was the last gift you gave someone? I sent one of my friends kids some fun fidget toys after the one they had got eaten by their dog.
8. What were you like in high school? Ummm I wasn’t really anything. Dance team, cheerleading but wasn’t popular. Kept to myself and hung out with my then boyfriend husband now most of the time.
9. What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it? Shitts Creek, because it’s my go to comfort show!
10. Any advice for your previous boss? None that I’d like to share lol 11. Tell me something about your last job, other than money, that would have inspired you to keep working there. Absolutely nothing. It was a job I was at to pass the time nothing more.
12. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? Nothing I can say publicly lol
13. What is your dream job? Opening a storefront for my shop would be a dream come true.
14. What inspires you? My experiences and knowing I can help others
15. What’s your food/drink guilty pleasure? Wine and ice cream! I can’t say no to either!
16. What are you known for? My youngest daughter Olivia haha
17. What do you work toward in your free time? Free time? I don’t remember what that is.
18. How would you rate your memory? It depends, short term BAD long term event recall is pretty good. I can remember conversations from 2008 but can’t remember to text someone back.
19. If you woke up and had 2,000 unread emails and could only answer 300 of them, how would you choose which ones to answer? I wouldn’t! I’d go into an executive dysfunction coma, and ghost everyone unless they send a follow up message to check in, then that’s who is reply too.
20. What pizza topping best represents you? Oooo banana peppers cause I’m weird a little spicy but not really spicy and if you give me a chance I’ll surprise you at how good I am!
21. If you were to get rid of one state in the U.S., which would it be and why? Texas! Their politics have gotten completely out of hand! 22. What is your favorite tv show to watch when you’re alone with the remote? Shitts creek, friends, or Gilmore girls! Those are my go tos often!
23. Are you now who you thought you would be ten years ago? Absolutely not, I’m a better version of myself than I thought I’d ever be, and I’m healing and getting better every day!
